2009

Wow what a year. I am sorry this is so late but the last few weeks have been insanely busy. We started the year off great. We moved in February to a nice duplex or twin home (which ever you think it is). We love it so much. We have a yard and 2 car garage. We also are able to have Griz. He is a year old Matiff, black lab mix. He has a few problems(runs off when he is put in pin for long time and loves to be where ever I am). He is a good dog with the kids. Logan loves to climb all over him. He is about 90 lbs. We have lots of fun with him.

Carson is growing up so quickly. He started 2nd grade this year and is doing good. Math is not one of his favorite subjects. He is such a good reader and loves it. He reads the book of Morman and does so good with the big and unuasual words. He was baptized on January 9th 2010. He is so happy for making that decision. We look forward to cub scouts and wrestling this year. It is going to be a crazy couple of months but fun.

Abigail started school this year. She loves kindergarden so much. She is a good student and is becoming a good reader herself. She had some trouble at the beginning of school year because she loves to talk, as most of you know. She has learned to control that and now is doing great. She turned 6 on October 30th. She cut her hair this summer. I was very unhappy. I could have cried. Her hair was long and pretty. I had to cut it to her chin. We are slowly growing it back out again. Hopefully in two years we will be to where it was before she cut it. I asked her why she cut it and her reply was that it was in her eyes. I told her the next time she does it she will have it cut as short as Carson's. Hopefully we won't have it happen again.

Logan is now 19 months old. He loves cars, balls and animals. I love this stage. He is learning so much. He started walking at 10 months old and now runs everywhere. He likes playing with his older brother and sister. He talks quite well. He loves to say Abby. He is so much fun.

Jason is still working on his bachelors in RN. Hopefully we can be done soon. Oh the joys of working full time and having a family while trying to take classes. He is taking classes online from BYU Idaho. He is working at our local hospital and is ready for more challenging things. He has been a nurse for over 6 years. He is Second Counselor in the Elders Quorum. He has had that calling for 1 1/2 years. He works right now teaching anyone who is heading on a mission or who is becoming an elder. He loves it (at least I hope so). He was able to go hunting some with my Dad this year and they did not bring anything home but have found a good spot for next year. Thank goodness people are able to hunt wolves this year so hopefully that will increase the amount of deer. The wolves have been bad the last couple of years. There is a reason hunters and farmers tried to dispose of them in earlier years. They are ruthless and attack anything. Anyways he loves hunting. He loves living in Montana. Jason and my brother(14) went on the 50 miler again this year. They loved it and got home a day earlier than planned. The boys just wanted to get home and not take another day. They had to split up the group this year because they had too many boys that wanted to go and they can't have more than 15 in a group. Oh Jason loves hiking and being out in the middle of nowhere. They went in the Bob Marshall again. It is such beautiful country. Jason started an internet buisness called Quickstar. It is slow going but has some time to devote to getting it going good. We hope to be retired in less than 5 years. That would be nice.
I have had a full year. I just finished my 2nd year as the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society. We had lots of fun enrichment activities this year. I have a great Enrichment Leader that makes it easier for me. I love my calling minus welfare meeting. I could do without it. I don't want to know every ones problems financially at least. I do love the women I work with. I am definitely young and sometimes wonder why me, but it is crazy how we have become such great friends now. I don't think it would be the same if we did not serve together. Anyway I was able to go to Utah and spend time with my great friends and scrapbook together. Annie, my sister, was able to go with me and we got to spend time with Stacy. I could not ask for a better way to spend a weekend with my sisters. They are great. I have started a cooking group with some friends here in Montana. I love it. We get together once a month and prepare meals. The meals are delicious and all prepared. They are in the freezer and everyday I pull out a new one for the next night. The kids and Jason love them. Tonight we are having Asian Balsamic Grilled Salmon. I am excited to try it. If you are interested the website is www.hotby6.com. They have gourmet meals that are inexpensive because you prepare more than one meal. I prepared 14 last week and spent $191.00 and that will be enough main dishes for the next month. That is a high end of the cost because the friend that was the host this month shopped only at 2 stores and one was the dollar store. She bought all the meat at one store and we could have got it at Costco for cheaper but that is okay. Anyway most meals are about 5-9 dollars. It is great. I love it.
We are very happy and can't wait for the new year and what it brings for us. We hope everyone has a great year.
