Logan's first year

This is better late than never. Logan turned 1 on June 6th. My how times fly by.

Griz- 5 1/2 months old

Last Friday Jason headed off to work and the kids were inside playing. I decided to water the yard since I planted grass and it needed some water. The kids and griz kept going in and out the back yard while I was back there. I decided to head to the front and water it real quick. I shut the back door so that Logan and Griz would stay inside. A few minutes later Abby came from the back yard and I asked her if she shut the back door and she said no. I told her she needed to shut it so Logan and Griz would not come out. Griz got out and I told her to get him back in. Next thing I know is Griz comes running from the neighbors house. I told him to get inside and he ran to the front porch and sat down. I told him to stay there. A minute later the neighbor acoss the street in the back came through our back yard and told me Griz just got hit by a car. He got hit not ran over so he did not have any broken bones. He got hit on the back end of his body. He started getting up more yesterday. For that first few days he did not want to move at all. He got up to go to the bathroom and that was all. I am glad we did not have to worry about taking him to the vet. It is a good thing he is big and about 50 lbs. Otherwise he would have been ran over and then there would be a different outcome. We are grateful that he is doing better. Abby felt so bad and kept blaming herself but we convienced her that it was not her fault. Anyway he is better and we are grateful for that. He is a good dog and part of the family.

It is good that there are no chemicals in this cupboard, just my jar of left over grease. Lovely isn't. He loves to go in my kitchen and play. I am not sure why but I don't keep anything within reach that could hurt them. Logan is 11 months old in this picture.
