Carson Reading

Carson read Jason and I a book tonight. He read The Cat in the Hat. He did it all by himself and with only a few errors. This was wonderful because he never wants to do it unless it is homework. He would rather us read and he listen. I love to hear him read. He has really became a great reader this year, and more confident. He also likes Math more and more, especially when a game is involved. He loves to come home and tell us about the new games he learned in school. Some of his favorites are Domiono Top It, and Heads Up 7Up. At the beginning of the year Carson had a hard time drawing big pictures. He would make them about 1 1/2 inches tall and very little detail. He is learning to draw them bigger and use more detail. I love it. He loves school and loves his teacher. We are blessed to have him love school and a have great teacher. This year I have had the opportunity to volunteer in Carson's class once a week. I absolutely love every moment I get to do this. Thanks Jason for watching Logan and Abby so I can do that. Isn't he great. Life is great.

Logan Dancing

Logan had discovered dancing. We were impressed that he could dance to the beat. We had lots of fun. He is 7 months old when I made the video. This was on the 16th of January. Oh and yes he is already pulling himself up and walking around the furniture. It won't take long before we get those first steps. Yikes not ready for that.

Grizzly Bear

Abby is holding our new puppy. He is so cute and quite big and will get bigger. We are so excited. He will be an outdoor dog. Thanks goodness. I really do not want to train a dog.

All the puppies climbed on Carson because he was warm. This is 9 of the puppies. One was already in a new home. They are so much fun.

Logan got a sock monkey from his Uncle Shawn and Aunt Stacy for Christmas. It is one of his favorite toys.

Abby and Logan Having Fun!!

Abigail decided to carry Logan in this container. I am not sure how she was able to lift him in it. It was so funny. Logan never moved. He just sat in there and let her push and carry him all over the house. This was December 30, 2008.

Our New Year

January 1, 2009

January 1, 2008. The kids spent the morning shoveling our walkway and playing in the snow. We had a great time playing and love the snow. That night it started to snow. We woke up the next morning to a ton of snow. Jason spent 3 hours shoveling the walkway and digging our cars out of the snow. Carson had a Dr. appointment that morning at 9 and needless to say we did not make it. The kids had so much fun playing in the snow. It continued to snow all day. We ended up getting between 12 and 15 inches of snow that day. On Saturday we were able to go to Grammy's and had lots of fun in the snow. This has been the most snow we have ever had. The newpaper said we had 31 inches of snow before the storm so we have over 45 inches of snow this season. We can't wait to go skiing. The first 3 pictures are from the 1st and the other pictures are of the 2nd. You can see how much we got. Thank goodness I took pictures so that we can see the difference. We are grateful Carson did not have school or he would have a snowday for sure, and have to make it up in June. Good thing we love snow and have snow tires on our cars or we would be stuck at home.

Our New Year's Eve

This is what we were doing at 12am on New Year's Eve. Jason had to work at the Hospital so the kids and I watched Prince Caspian. We got all ready in the front room with popcorn, and drinks. I laid Logan down at 8:30. At 9:30 I asked Carson a question and he did not answer. I realized all three kids were asleep. After the movie I turned on Pride and Prejudice and went to bed at 1. I think this is probably the 4 or 5 time that I was able to stay awake till midnight on New Year's Eve.

Carson and Abby at the Polar Plunge.

Carson and Dad worked hard on the Lego Castle. This is the Skeleton Dungeon if I remember right. It took them a Saturday afternoon to build it.

Logan Clarke Beard born June 6th at 5:15 pm. 7 lbs 14 oz and 21 inches long. That is my biggest baby so far. Abby and Carson adore him.

Logan's blessing on June 22, 2008. He is 2 weeks old. The outfit was so big you can not see his feet and I had to roll the waist at least 3 times.

4th of July. Not sure what Abby was doing but we had fun.

2008 In review (Last 6 months)

Abby was in cheerleading this year and performed at the county fair and rode in the parade. She makes a wonderful cheerleader.

Carson loved playing football again this year.

We took Logan for his first swim when he was 3 months old. He loved the water.

In September Carson lost his first tooth. He was so excited.

Grandma and Poppy came to visit in September so we went to the Glacier and did the hike Trail of the Cedars. It was wonderful especially since Poppy's chair could do the whole thing. It was so beautiful.

We took the kids to the county fair carnival in August. They had a blast. The carnival actually had a small roller coaster. Abby and Carson loved it.

Dad and Carson went with Uncle Shawn to a BYU game when we went to Utah in September. They had a blast. BYU won Yeah!!!

Abby turns 5 on October 30th. She got a Hannah Montana cake.

Abby loves the new puppies. They are a week old in this picture. Aunt Annie's dog Midget had puppies right before Christmas. She is a mastiff and not sure of the dad. The puppies look nothing like Midget. She is tan and the puppies are all black. Two of they have white spots on their bellies. They are so cute.

The kids made a snowman with Aunt Annie, Aunt Stacy, and Uncle Jacob. We have been too cold for the snow to work, but we warmed up and the kids had so much fun.
