Grandpa Lewis's Burial

My Grandpa passed away November 2nd, 2009. He was diagnosed with skin cancer. He had a short battle with it. He turned 80 on October 24th. We were fortunate to be able to go to the funeral and the burial. The funeral was on Friday and all the grand kids were there. Then the burial was on Monday. My Grandpa is buried in Fort Logan Cemetery. He was a veteran and was given full military honors for his burial. I have included some of the pictures of the burial. Jason was a pall bearer. My Grandma was given the flag that was draped on my grandpa's casket. It was one of the most amazing things to see. My Grandpa loved this country and fought in the Korean War. I am grateful for his service and his example. We will miss you so much Grandpa and look forward to the time when we will see you again. We love you Grandpa.

This is a picture of all the Great-Grandkids. Eight in total.

Logan is so cute

The other night we put Logan in his bed and he got out a couple of times. We would put him right back. About 5 minutes later we had not heard any noises so I peeked in to see if he was asleep and I found him in Carson's bed asleep. He was so cute.

Logan's Favorite Thing

Great-Grandma Mae made Logan this car quilt. He loves taking his cars and playing with it. Logan loves cars. Thanks Grandma Mae!!!!!!

We got back to Kalispell and spent an hour in my friend's van and we all talked. It was great. We talked about alot of things. It was a much needed night out for all of us. I am greatful for my friends and the time we spend with each other. I am also thankful for my husband for letting me have a girl's night. Thanks Babe!!!!

9 Years Today

Jason and I are celebrating our 9 year anniversay today. I can not believe it has been that long. I would have never guessed we would have 3 kids and be living in Kalispell Montana. Things have sure changed. I am grateful for all the work Jason does to keep me at home with the kids. Jason and I were married in the Portland Oregan Temple. It is such a beautiful temple. I am grateful for the opportunity that Jason and I had to be sealed for time and all eternity. I love that man so much. I also love all the things he does to make me feel special and truly loved. He is my best friend. Thanks Babe for all you do for our family.

Grandpa Lloyd Lewis

Grandpa was born Oct 24th 1929 in Dickens Nebraska. He had 1 little sister Joanne. He grew up in Nebraska and Midwest Wyoming. Here are his parents and sister. I love the old cars in the back. I am very grateful that we have these pictures.

Grandpa's graduation picture.

Grandpa enlisted in the U.S. Navy after high school. He was stationed on an aircraft carrier, the Kearsarge. He fought for our freedom in the Korean War. While serving 2 movies where filmed on his ship and he loved to point out where in the movie you could see him.

Grandpa loved the Broncos, antiques, fishing and most of all the kids. He started going to Bronco games in 1968. He has been a season ticket holder for 40 years. He also enjoyed going to Colorado University games. He converted many "non-believers" into Bronco fans. In 1978 he went to the 1st Bronco Superbowl in New Orleans. He got to go to his last game on September 20th of this year. We love you Grandpa and will miss you till the day we will all be united again. Thanks for all the memories!!!!!

Super Nanny

I have to say I believe Super Nanny knows what she is talking about. On Saturday, Logan learned to climb out of his crib. He fell twice, but learned what to do too not fall. I had laid him down for his nap and here he comes out of his room. For the next two hours Jason and I shared the task of putting him back in his crib each time he got out. I learned the Stay in bed technique from her book my mom gave me a few years ago. It is the best thing. So on with my story. Logan took 2 hours to finally give up and fall asleep. He was crying and not happy we kept putting back but he did give up. So Saturday night I was happy I had an extra hour of sleep since I could be up a while with him. Jason had to work so I was on my own. It took Logan about a half hour to fall asleep with much less crying. I was so happy. Tonight I put him to bed and was preparing myself to me up for a while. I put him to bed and he got out once. I put him back and did not hear a sound from the room. I poked my head in his room and low and behold he is asleep. I am so excited. My little baby is growing up way too fast for me.

They are so cute. Don't you think?

Carson is Luke Skywalker.

Abigail is Cleopatra.

Logan is the cutest pumpkin ever!!!

Abigail turns 6

Abigail turned 6 on the Oct 30th. She always has a halloween party or some form of trick or treating each year since we have moved to Montana. She loves it. This year was extra crazy because the kids do not get off the bus till 4:20. Then we had to be to a nursing home at 6:30 for trick or treating. She was so excited. She was able to have her ears pierced 2 weeks ago. I did it then because I knew we would be extra busy this week. She was awesome. She had a great birthday. I am so proud of her. She got a new outfit to wear to school. She was so excited she was jumping in the picture. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABIGAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a climber!!!!!!!

Logan is always climbing, moving chairs to get what he wants off tables and the counters. I had just went to Costco and got milk. We stacked them and I proceeded to get the rest of the groceries out of the car. Logan started screaming and I came running in and found the source of the screaming. It made me laugh.

Naki-A dear friend and wonderful example

We had a friend from Utah that passed away this week. This was completly unexpected and a huge shock for the family. He was 32 years old. He left behind a wife, Abby, and 6 beautiful daughters ranging from 1-9 years old. He is a wonderful person. He always had a smile and served his fellow men whenever possible. He was a great example of how to live and treasure what you have. Abby has a hard job ahead of raising 6 girls without the support of Naki. If you can and would like to help, the website is www.nakisgirls.com to donate.

Girls Weekend in Idaho

2 Weeks ago we were able to have our girls weekend in Couer d' alene Idaho. We get together every other year and just be us girls. The weather was very cold and rainy but it did not stop us from having fun. We spent Saturday at Silverwood. That is an amuzement and water park. The weather was supposed to be 78 but it did not get warmer than 67. We had fun anyway. Abby really loved seeing her cousin and all her aunts. Some of them we have not seen since Logan's Blessing so it was great to see them. Abby and I waiting in line at Silverwood
Abby and Ariel

Abby loved this ride. She rode with Auntie Steph and cousin Ariel

This was also a favorite ride!

Abby before her first rollercoaster ride ever. She did not want to go on another one again. She was a trooper.

Abby and Auntie April. She did not want to ride again.

Ariel, Abby, and Auntie Amanda. Abby did not want to go on it again. She was not quite ready for all these thrill rides. A couple more years and she will not be stopped. We are can not wait till we get to go to Tahoe in two years.

This is how Logan spent most of his time here.

Butterfly's were beautiful!!!

Pacific Science Center

After the gum wall we went and spent a few hours in the Pacific Science Center. The kids had so much fun. So did us adults. These pictures are from an anti-gravity mirror. We all had a blast posing for this. I have two heads
Don't you just love this. Jason has the backpack still on.

Ariel loved this too

Carson loved posing.

Abby said she is real big. I love how she is looking at her self in the mirror so she looks cross eyed.

Seattle Space Needle

June 19th we went to the Space Needle with Aunt Trish, and cousin Ariel. The kids loved the elevator ride up. The ride up only takes 40 seconds if I remember right. It is an amazing thing to see Seattle from that high.

Famous Gum Wall

After the Aqurium we headed to Pikes Market. My mom told us about this wonderful place that everyone puts their gum on the wall. It is crazy how much gum there is. It is massive. If you go to Seattle you must go and see it. Bring the Purell though.
Disguisting-what else can I say

The kids putting gum on the wall

They thought this was cool. Yuck!!!!!
